12 oz bottle
Moderate pour in a shaker
Recent brewing (?), absorbed 07/07
Poured a hazy yellow with a moderate white fluffy somewhat diminishing head.
Smelt of strong banana, coriander, flowers (like lavender), and white bread.
Taste of moderate bitter flowery lavender and light sweet oranges followed by a moderate bitter white bread and oranges dough on an average finish.
Palate was light bodied, stinging effervescence, watery on a slightly dry finish.
Overall, a good spiced up yeasty witbier but way too effervescent. Flavor profile is emphasized on the spices and yeast flavors. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 18, 2007 From a 12 oz. bottle, freshness date in the lower right side corner of label, sampled in a pint glass.
An unfiltered, with sediment, pale yellow appearance with a small foamy white head, settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Light aromas of fruity wheat malt and a touch of oats, a light spiciness, subtle clove, coriander and pepper.
Good carbonation that lends itself to a airy, creamy medium bodied mouthfeel, dry and crisp, tastes of tart wheat malts, soften a little by the oats, orange peel with a trace of zesty sweetness, mild clove and coriander, spicy and peppery, a dry spicy, malty finish. Easy, smooth drinkability, especially today, a hot, humid July day.
This is a pretty decent seasonal from Spanish Peaks, I actually think it is one of their better brews, well worth trying.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Bottle from Canals in Berlin, NJ. Pours a nearly clear gold with a slight haze and quickly disipating bubbly white head. Mild spicy aroma with hints of yeast and lemon zest. Up front citris flavor followed by a little pepper and faint banana esters. Thin texture with too much carbonation but a snappy crisp finish. With so many better wits out there there’s little reason to grab this off the shelf. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Bottle: Gold, light haze, nice lacing, nose of citrus and vanilla, very bright and up front. The flavor is very fresh and citrusy, lots of creamy malt flavor. Decent. bochi23 (90), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2007 I enjoy a good witbier and have had a brew or two from spanish peaks (disappointed that they are not actually in bozeman but rather maryland). In anycase the beer looks good coming from the bottle, pale and cloudy with an acid white head. mouthfeel is good, the beer is not watery at all. citrus and banana tones are evident. Overall, I liked this one quite a bit and would consider buying more of it... ScoWRee (276), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is of heavy spices - corriander. Flavor is perfumey, overly sweet spices, decent carbonation. The spices being over the top was bad, but overall not too bad. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Rated 7/8/07. Pours cloudy pale yellow with a small white head and little lacing. Mine had some floating particulate in it that honestly wasn’t very attractive. Aroma was citrus, corriander, and pale malt. Flavor was the same. Well balanced, light, and refreshing. Body was a little watery, but it was nice after working in the yard (it was 95 degrees today). Similar to a Wittekerke, but with a little more depth of flavor. Nice Witbier.
