Commercial Description:
Black dogs's Winter Cheer ia a very hearty ale made from five different malts and three hop varieties. It has a deep copper color and its flavor balances the sweet malt with siginicant hop spiciness. The perfect beer to cheer up a winter's evening.

Bottle. Appearance: Dark Amber, thick beige head. Aroma: Spicy, malty, nutty, some faint chocolate, light citrusy hops. Palate: Medium. Flavor: Nutty and spicy with just a hint of chocolate and caramel. Just enough hops to balance it out. Overall: I was quite surprised to see this wasn’t rated a little bit higher. Not the best beer in the world but very tasty and drinkable.

This beer pours a nice copper coloured body with a large tan head. A little bit of bready character, nice sweet malts with a subtle hop finish. biscuity, and a little bit of bananna too.

The aroma is like a weak porter. It has chocolate, coffee, toasted malt, and brown sugar. The appearance is brown with a tan head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter aftertaste. The palate is thin. Overall not bad.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of jimbowood. Pours a clear deep copper color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malts with a little spice thrown in. The flavor is more caramel malts providing moderate sweetness, light roast, some grains, and a touch of grapefruit bitterness. A bit on the thin side, but drinkable.

Pour is cola brownish red with a thin thin off white head...smell is lightly spicy with black pepper, light pineapple, also hints of resin...nice aroma...taste is faintly toasty at first with a strong resin/vegetable bitterness coming in...fairly sticky herbal finish...
