On tap at the grey lodge. Pours a golden color with a creamy small head. Sweet and malty aroma. Flavor is reflective of the aroma with some fruity overtones.

Growler from Bierkraft: Pours a crisp golden with complete clarity, topped by a creamy, consistent but small head. Has a crisp carbonation in the mouthfeel. Aroma has crisp German malts, light banana esters, and a nice doughy element. Flavor is pretty similiar. Sweet malty body with a solid doughyness. Subtle bubblegum notes and glazed pastry qualities. The sweet maltyness is balanced by a late spicyness. The finish has a peppery dryness. A traditionally solid Maibock.

Draft. Dark golden yellow color with a sizable white head. Toasted malt aroma. Malty flavor with a surprising amount of fruity sweetness. A very enjoyable beer.

Just had on tap at Resi’s Bierstube in Chicago. Goodfor a maibock. Sweet and easy to drink, not overly complex. But that tends to go with the style. Seasonal so now is the time to get it on tap. Do a side-by-side with Hofbrau Maibock-- I would say the two are very comparable.

Pours with a gold color and frothy head. Sweet and malty with a slight bitter finish. Goes down smooth for an easy drink.

Draft. Clear amber color with an average fizzy white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate nutty malt citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a balanced sweet bitter finish of moderate duration.

(05.06.06) On tap at Firkin’s, Libertyville, IL. .Poured clear golden yellow with giant long-lasting white head. No discernable carbonation. Sweet malt aroma. Light-to-medium bodied lager that starts dry with malt, nutty, and corn flavors. Finished with light malt fade and hop bitterness. Very malty with a style similar to the Czechvar pils lager rather than a maibock. Good and drinkable though.
