| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Growler from Bierkraft: Pours a crisp golden with complete clarity, topped by a creamy, consistent but small head. Has a crisp carbonation in the mouthfeel. Aroma has crisp German malts, light banana esters, and a nice doughy element. Flavor is pretty similiar. Sweet malty body with a solid doughyness. Subtle bubblegum notes and glazed pastry qualities. The sweet maltyness is balanced by a late spicyness. The finish has a peppery dryness. A traditionally solid Maibock. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2007 Just had on tap at Resi’s Bierstube in Chicago. Goodfor a maibock. Sweet and easy to drink, not overly complex. But that tends to go with the style. Seasonal so now is the time to get it on tap. Do a side-by-side with Hofbrau Maibock-- I would say the two are very comparable. rdelljh (122), Pennsylvania, USA
