A clear deep dark reddish brown color in appearance as it pours in the glass. Nice dark wheat bread in flavor with a toasty aftertaste. Overall it great! Minimal quick-fading head. Sweet brown sugar malt taste, quite smooth and well done. Not cloying, pungent, and/or thick like some Dunkels, this is quite well balanced. Caramel and toffee notes. Not much hop presence at all, in accord with the style. Pretty good. SledgeJr (2970), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

I’m sad that this is a green bottle, as I will re-rate this once the Crescent Moon gets it on tap. Pours a very crisp and clean dark brown with a surprisingly white head. Thios has a thin body with a good chocolate and roasted backbone. Good, but not great. Tmoney99 (4778), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing.
Moderate dark malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation.
Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met. mar (1933), Dallas, Texas, USA
