Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Golden. Fast head. Aroma of grain malts, somewhat skunked. Flavor of grain malts end with hop bite. Lite bitter finish. Why German brewers want to ship green bottles across the pond, no idea.

(12oz bottle, courtesy of Lumpy) Pours a clear golden body with a small white quickly diminishing head. Aroma of skunkiness, metallic, grass, lemon zest, and mustiness. Flavor of grassy hops and metallic.

Bottle. A light beer, kind of summer-like. Probably something you would like to drink outside a hot summer-day.

Bottle from Carringtons. Dull as dishwater with only slightly more flavour and a better colour. Nothing to see here, kindly move on.

It’s just an average german beer with a sort of skunky kind of smell to it and a crisp taste. Nothing too great.
