Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

(Bottle). Malty aroma. Clear pale golden color, average head. Mild flavor, not much going on. A bit of yeast and malt.

Bottle bought at the Utah State Store. Pours a clear golden body with a thick white head. The aroma is full of malt, grass and some apples. The flavor is very smooth and nice; a nice fruity body, some rich and sweet malts, and a spicy peppery finish. Very clean and watery. Not bad at all. The German lager often exceeds my expectations, and this was no exception. Too thin, but good.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden color with a light white head. A yeast aroma becomes apparent. Taste of malts and maybe some grass and caramel flavors. LIght bodied. Finishes crisp with mild bitterness. Slightly better than a standard American macro.

Pours blonde from the bottle with a trim head of white foam. Plenty of carbonation with a yeasty/citrus aroma. Very light with a faint taste of grass and malt. Better than most macro lagers, yet still lacking in the flavor department.

Sparkling, rich yellow pour with a foamy, white head. Strong carbonation and solid lacing round out a very nice appearance. Peppery, grainy malt scent, lots of fresh grass and subtle noble hops. Light and soft on the palate. Gentle, creamy finish with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Flavor is in tune with the style. Great balance of spicy, green hops and pale, grassy malts. Quenching and very drinkable, a lager to be thrown back in good fashion.

Pours gold into a stein. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim leaving no lacing. Skunky malt aromas. Full and crisp. Sweet upfront with a dry hop finish.
