Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Tasted somewhere along my trip through the States.
Pale golden colored brew. Crispy and grainy. Not bad, but not special.

Bright, clear yellow with decent white head. Not particularly bubbly/carbonated. Pleasantly hoppy with a nice mouthfeel, but not a distinctive flavor.

This is a fine beer but I dont get the hype. German beer this Belgian beer that. This is a typical lager done perfectly. You can describe this as classical but im standby TYPICAL. American Micro’s blow this out of the water with innovation, imo.

Bottle pours a very clear, medium yellow with an average sized head. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Flavor is light, crisp, and refreshing. Not bad at all.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. It poured a very pale yellow colour with a medium head that settled down fast in the glass. The aroma smells of malts. The flavour is is watered out and tastes of bread. It has almost no aftertaste at all.

This reminds me of a Heineken but kicked up a notch. A little skunky and metallic in taste but does have slight notes of hops and some but barely malt. Not to bad overall I suppose.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Sweet, hoppy, cereal aroma with notes of bread. Flavour is sweet cereals and hops. A bit metallic. Bread-like finish with faint apple notes. 28-07-08.
