Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Had this on tap at Murphy’s Logo Glass Night in Champaign, Illinois. Poured a vibrant yellow color with a small white head that disappeared quickly. The aroma consisted of grain, some light hops, and grass. The taste was nothing exciting... grainy flavor with a clean finish. I do not think I would have purchased this beer if the logo glass was not a boot-shaped glass. Oh, well... I now have another cool glass to add to my collection!

Poured a vibrant golden color into my large stein with a nice, large white head. Flavor of crisp grain. Very refreshing and drinkable lager especially on a warm day.

(cleaning out my beer bottle collection as pictured in my profile and utilizing ratebeer.com) As I recall, it was a nice full-bodied lager, almost pilsner in style. Crips and grainy in flavor.

Soft fruit on the nose, almost a little nutmeg. Yellow-gold color with a hint of orange. Sweet honey with well-rounded bitterness. Medium body, with a fruity sweet finish. A great Helles.

Not much to comment on really. A fairly basic beer. Golden colour with a thin malty flavour and not much aroma.

botlle, claer and golden. Hay, grass, sweet and bitter, a nice balance. Would go well with a salami and cheese sandwich, extra mustard. Very good lager.
