But once the smell hit my nose I was kinda dissapointed. Tasted alright, but after the aroma mishap, it just wasn’t the same. Time to go to Germany..... KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2007 Nice frothy long lasting head with an aroma strong in hops and yeast. Surprising medium body for such a clear yellow beer. Mild malt flavor with a smooth finish. Very drinkable. Parrothead (185), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Has a great noble hop nose, cyrstal clear gold in color. Tastes more like a regular Pils to me, rather than a Munich Helles. In any event, I really like it, but then again I am partial to German beers. jeg (115), Austin, Texas, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Low expectations, and after reading the reviews, I can believe that this would be better at the source (Munich, not Texas). Tasted like a very ordinary lager to me, albeit better than one that uses corn and/or rice. Uninspired at best, blah at worst, but no drain pour. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA

It looked great, but I got that skunky nose and odd hop taste. Shame, I bet this is great at the source. chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA

Tasted nothing like it does from the brewpubs in munich. Overall was still "good" but was depressed that it didn’t have the true flavor that it has from munich.
