It is definitely not a "light" beer though. It’s got a milder balance and not so bitter hops content. As German beers go, this is pretty tame stuff. latneyblunk (40), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Mild hop aromas, nothing uniquely complex. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Tastes of average hop bittermess and lightly of malt. Nive drinkability and great for refreshment. Overall nothing special. Makes me wish this habit of making lagers lighter and lighter would pass. Would like a more pronounced hop flavor profile. scanovajr (399), Stanford, California, USA

I served a 1/2 barrel of it at a huge Halloween Party last night along with the Oktoberfest and crowd seem to like it. It was very fresh. yespr (12429), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Somewhat hoppy nose, a bit skunky. Flavour starts soft malty with a little sweetness - and gains some bitterness before the finish. Malty flavour return far into the finish as a pleasant malt dryness - not the classic bone dry bitterhops. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2007 Very malty and a lot of hay and grass in this beer. Nice balance from the low level of bitteness. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 23, 2007 Updated: Oct 30, 2008This is very tasty, full-bodied, yet smooth and well-rounded. It is gold, with a decent white head that dissipates steadily but slowly, and it’s bubbly. The aroma is distinctly of grain and a bit flowery. The taste is toasted grain, with a faint hop bite, and it has a crisp, almost tangy finish. It has good, full body and fairly oily palate for a pale lager. It is tasty and smooth, very easily drinkable. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
