Very nice herbal hop aroma with some nice maltiness. Flavor is just a little sweeter than I like my Helles, finish is gone in an instant. Very quaff able. BREWMUSKCLES (1072), New Jersey, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2007 A surprise rating generated at a BJCP training session, didn’t realize that I had never rated this. Pale gold, gentle malt aroma. Light hay and grassy hops balancing things out on the finish. Flavor and aroma identical. Nice. lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 5, 2007 draft. pours a clear light yellow with a bubbly on finger white head. aroma is straw and grass. has a light body, spotty lacing, and descent carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. not to much to say here it is an ok helles. mikey (336), farmington, Utah, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Poured a pale golden color with a wispy head of white foam that dissipated quickly. The nose was light with grassy notes of hay and hops with a slight skunkiness. The malt is nicely grainy, and sweet with Munich malts; and it acts as blanket for grassy and spicy hop flavors. It’s bitterness is solid and clearly present, but not too bold. The feel was thin and light. Certainly one of the least offensive beers one could try, but simple in scope and complexity. Not a bad brew to offers noobies before moving them on to more complex beers. This one would certainly hit the spot after along hot day. Pwn3d (1066), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2007 on tap at Blarney Stone pub. My first impression was poor due to the gimp pour of this brew. I assumed it was another watered down "premium lager" similair to stella but its interesting to see its a dortmunder. I felt like i was drinking a St. Pauli or Becks, But a bit more malty and a fuller bodied brew. I prefer this over most pale beers. very well rounded brew, solid in everyway. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
