Nose of incredibly robust grain, some grass and faint hop. Odd, plain flavor, some dirty grain and minor hop but rather watery. Palate is somewhat crisp, finish almost nonexistent but some dirty grain remains. Pretty standard, but still rather enjoyable. alepig666 (78), Adelaide, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Pint on tap. Pours straw gold with frothy white head that settles to a rim around the glass. Aroma of grain, quite weak. Flavour was weird, quite wheaty and grainy, some hefe esque banana, with a dishwater sort of feel. Finish was corn, with mild bitterness. Not offensive, but very overrated, Hofbrau blows this out of the water. FlssmrBrewAlum (1135), Lisle, Illinois, USA

Some sort of mug like draft served on tap at Poag Mahone’s (Chicago, IL). Pours a clear golden hue, bubbly white decent head with small lacing. Aromas are straight grain and corn, a bit of funkiness, but overall not offensive, just a touch adjuncty. Initial is sweet cereal malts, corn, adjunct, a bit boozy a bit sugary sweetness. Finish is sharp corny sweetness and light bitterness. The sweetness almost makes me puke, balance is WAY off and near unbearable for a session beer as the booze fades away. This beer does not do beer justice, over sweetened for booze. Dissappointing. Rciesla (3621), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Presentation: It was poured from a green 12oz bottle into a Pilsener glass. There appears to be no freshness date and the label reads "malt liquor".
Appearance: It has a light golden colored body with very good clarity and some visible streams of carbonation. The head on top is light and foamy, bright white in color and fades out quickly.
Smell: The aroma is very light with just a hint of pale malt and grassy/floral hop notes.
Taste/Mouth Feel: The flavor is simple crisp and refreshing with a light to medium body. There is a thin biscuity malt balanced by floral and somewhat grassy hops that bring mild but balanced bitterness. The finish is quick and fairly dry with active cleansing carbonation.
Notes: It has an easy drinking texture and a good simple and balanced flavor.
