Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

on tap at Blarney Stone pub. My first impression was poor due to the gimp pour of this brew. I assumed it was another watered down "premium lager" similair to stella but its interesting to see its a dortmunder. I felt like i was drinking a St. Pauli or Becks, But a bit more malty and a fuller bodied brew. I prefer this over most pale beers. very well rounded brew, solid in everyway.

Pours yellow with a bubbly, carbonated head that disappears after a short while. Maybe I just haven’t found the right one yet but German pale lagers all look and taste the same to me. It’s not a pale lager but it looks and acts like one. Malty. It’s somewhat refreshing. Above average but not something I buy frequently.

pours gold with a creamy white head. nice lacing. flavor is a little watery; malts, wheat, and a slight hop flavor. decent but a little boring.

Pours a golden color with a fluffy head. Tastes somewhat sour and has a skunky aroma. Wheat body that is very refreshing and a bit malty. Not bad.

I quite enjoy the smooth rounded medium body. Nose is light and peary. A pretty gold with a healthy head that settles nicely in the glass. Slightly chilled this is quite pleasant with a slow salty to sweet finish.

Golden color. Malt flavors taste low quality. Smells a bit pukey. Reminds me of someone puking at a college party. It doesn’t activate my taste buds. Chose to pour the last few sips down the sink. Not something I would want to drink again.
