Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

8/1/07 From the bottle. Aroma is sweet malt forward with low citrus hop notes and some DMS/pils notes. Appearance is medium yellow with a low white chunky head. Flavor is bready munich malt forward, sour, with a faint nuttiness and lightly bitter. Mouthfeel is light bodied with some lingering starchiness in the finish. Texture has a medium carb feel, but low bite. Overall, easy drinking, with a little more flavor than American lagers.

It actually poured pale yelloow and had nice malt aromas. The palate was clean, crisp, and dry with very lightly sweet malt flavors. It has a minor length on the finish.

Draught. Pours yellow with a fluffy, lasting white head. Aroma is bready malt and a bit of aromatic hops. Flavor is similar, with slight bitterness in the finish. Very similar to Spaten Pils actually; just somewhat toned down on the hops. Pretty good for the style.
