Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

16 oz draft, Bavarian Lodge Lisle, IL. Medium amber color, lively off white head. Small nose, some maltiness with little to no hops. Light bodied with a clean finish. Good, not great.

bottle. light lager golden color. skunky hop smell. tastes slightly hoppy with a dry cedar finish. It has flavor but not that enjoyable. I can taste a relation to optimator in the woody finish.

Served from a 5 liter mini keg. Pours a straw colored body with a medium sized rocky white head. Aromas of sweet grains, citrus and malts. Palate is light to watery, medium carbonation. Finish is medium length, slightly sweet and somewhat bland. An easy drinking beer for poolside.

Nothing stands out, it tastes more like a pale lager than anything else. Weak flavor, no malt or hop character, carbonated and slightly watery.

On draft in Chicago. I guess it’s fine for the style-- a light Gernam lager. But Imy taste buds are longer for a little more body and a little more malt. It almost seems like a transition beer-- a step up from BMC, but not too big or heavy. Much rather have something a little mroe interesting in the flavor-- like a saison or a maibock.
