| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2006 I used to drink this beer at a beer savvy bar I frequented when in college, before I knew much about beer. It had been a few years since I’d had a Spaten lager.
This beer pours a faint yellow, with a tightly packed white head with excellent lacing for a pale lager.
Its aroma was subtle, and a sweet malt smell.
Its flavor is also light. It is sweetly malty, barely hopped, and very refreshing. It scratches a different itch than the American craft ales I’ve been drinking of late.
I could drink an awfully lot of this beer.

Aroma is very fresh and crisp, and reflects the taste which is ultra smooth. Very drinkable with a nice sweetness and a very mild hop finish. This beer definitely seems easy to put back over and over dkoonce (899), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA

Interesting enough character, with some nice citrus and spice flavours. Nothing special, and probably not worth $9.50 a glass. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Bottle 49F Lager Glass. Light sweet aromas, with light citrus and hops. Very clear light gold color. with standard german fluffy head. Mettalic sort of taste, kind of sweet, very light malts and light hops. Easily drinkable. Farily light palate but not overly watery. Really not too bad, but nothing very special as seems to be the case of many flagship brews for big breweries. SudsMcDuff (1764), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Decent hop and yeast aroma, accompanied by a very balanced malt/hop flavor. A quality beer, but there’s nothing about it that really stands out.
