| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Pours clear yellow with pillowy white head. Aromas has sweet grainy malt with light corn syrup. Medium to light body with lots of carbonation. Initial taste is grainy malts with a bit of slickness and traces of spiciness. Finish has some of the malt, but the spicy hops are predominant. Not that there is really that much of a hop presence - it’s just the main aspect of the finish. Okay beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2006 As a cousin of the pale lager, this is a light golden yellow. The aroma shows quality hops though lighter than some from Europe. The flavor has a bit more bread than most lagers, is very smooth but with plenty of body and malt. The finish is light on hops, but the hop flavor is of top quality even if light, which makes this beer quite refreshing. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA

Anyway, this poured from the bottle a light golden color. Medium sized head. Very watery and thin -- but refreshing in the summertime. When I was expecting the skunky and bitter kick at the end, I was surprised to find it missing. Not the best variation of a Dort/Helles, but a good lawnmower beer.
