Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Bottle--I just didn’t like from the first moments of opening to the end. The aroma was rotting grass, lawn clippings. The pour came with a fizzy, large head that disappeared. The color was golden yellow and the taste had some carmamel and maybe honey. A pretty typical below average brew.

This is a very premium lager. I would condsider this a great session beer. great clear straw color and a nice hoppy taste which goes down very smooth.

Not one of my favorites. Pours yellow with a thin, white head that soon fades. A little on the skunky side. Maybe itdoes age well in export?

bottle - This beer isn’t bad, but could certainly be better. It pours a yellowish gold with a thin head, fading head. The taste is somewhat sweet with a mildly bitter finish. The carbonation is lively and the mouthfeel a bit thin. It has a better flavor than most American macros probably because they at least avoid using rice or other bad additives.

Pours with a rocky white head that quickly dissipates and it looks like glass of chardonnay. Aroma is sweet and a little skunky. Flavor is rounded and malty with only a slight bitter hop taste that you find in heineken. Altogether, not that bad. Texture is dominated by carbonation and you don’t want to savor it in your mouth because of the sting.

On Tap at Flying Pie on Fairview: Clear pale gold in color with lots of bubbles and a small fizzy white head. No aromas really and the flavors are light at best. But, it does have some - its like a richer version of Coors Light. Not bad for an everyday dortmunder/helles???

Very surprised by this brew after tyring the Optimater. Didn’t expect an American-style lager. Poured very yellow with a small white head. Lightish lager with a bit of zest to it.
