Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Bottle at The Headkeeper, Greensburg, PA. Pours a golden yellow, small white head. Aroma is hops, malt and maybe a touch of corn. Flavor profile is more of the same only it has a touch sweetness to it that isn’t there in the aroma, also a little bready.

Gold in colour with piss weak thin white head. A light coloured lager basically. Little malt and hops and quite refreshing. Not my thing though and I would always pick something else before I have this again.

Pours a clear bright golden with a rather minimal frothy white head. Grain and spice aroma. Taste is sweet malt and, I know there isn’t any in German beer, corn grits along with a very slight bitterness. I must have a fresher bottle than many other raters because there is no skunk aroma or taste in this sample. Nevertheless, there isn’t much going on here. Quite refreshing but unremarkable.

Bottle, 12 oz Pale yellow, large white head. Nose is slightly skunked, with a little honey and floral hops. Taste is slightly skunked and a little tart, with some grain flavors and a metallic aftertaste. Carbonation is high. Mouthfeel is very light. Overall, disappointing but refreshing.

Straw color with a small white head. Very carbonated. The minute you open the bottle you can smell the skunk. Crisp clean beer with a nice finish. Good stuff

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden straw color with an average size fluffy white head and lots of visible carbonation. Aroma of skunk, some mustiness and cereal grains lying underneath. Cereal grain flavors with a touch of honey sweetness and a metalic finish. Classic German lager that those not in the know swear is awesome beer.
