Bottle. Poured dark gold with thick white head. Wonderful hoppy and malty aroma. Flavour just drops off the table with a flat ending. Thin body and a flattish finish. Acceptable, but a disappointment after such a fine start.

Sep 4, 2008 (Bottle). Malty yeast aroma. Dark amber color, small head. Taste is slightly sweet, malty and caramel, with a surprisingly long malty finish and just a touch of bitter hops. Delicious.

Sep 3, 2008 pours amber brown with a light off-white head. nose heavy of caramel malt, bread dough, and fruit. flavor is well-balanced caramel hops and floral hops. aftertaste is malty, just a hint of bitterness, and draws out nicely. lightly carbonated. goes down easy making it an exceptional session beer.

Sep 2, 2008 One of my favorite Oktoberfests for this time of year. A strong, malty aroma with just enough hops and perhaps even lager crispness to temper it. The flavor is rich, malty, crisp, and assertive. Enough hops to give it a nice noble hop character, but not to overpower the maltiness. I definitely prefer this to the Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest.
