Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Transparent tan-orange color with a quickly dissipating head. Delicate sweet aroma. Creamy and malty with a pleasant spicy hop crispness. Displays a lot of lighter lager characteristics, in a good way, which make it quite a drinkable Oktoberfest. This one is a Ur-classic, pretty much dead center in the range of Oktoberfests.

Aug 25, 2008 Nice amber brew, semi sweet undertone with just enough hops to keep me interested. Oddly enough it’s in a green bottle. It’s a nice way to show that summer is ending.

Aug 25, 2008 SLightly skunky aroma, flavor is watery, slight hops, and soap. Not really what i look for in my oktoberfest. Little sweet aftertaste, but overall a bit on the light side, needs more malt!

Aug 19, 2008 Updated: Aug 29, 200812oz green glass bottle served in a lager glass. Green glass? Seriously, why? Amber-gold in color with a thin white head. Smells of grain, spicy noble hops, and a hint of skunk piss. Firm bitterness balance by sweet malts, earthy spiciness. Pretty big flavor from a lager. Very nice, just ditch the green bottles.

Aug 18, 2008 Ah yes, the first Oktoberfest of the year! Nice dark amber pour with thick off white head. Big malty aroma with a slight noble hop bitterness. Taste is a wonderful balance between the malt presence and the hops. Not the best in this style, but good.
