| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 10, 2007 bottle. Nothing special here. A little maltyness a slight hoppiness. A little bitter and sweet. Feels very thin. I’d defintely pass for the money. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours amber with a decent size white head. Aroma of caramel malts, lightly toasted malts, and mild traces of hops. The flavor is sweet and toasted caramel malts, and finishes somewhat dry. artvandelay (32), Ames, Iowa, USA

Pours brownish-copper with a small beige head--mostly diminishing with not much lacing. Nose is sweet: raisin... some apple. Taste is caramel malt with a hint of hops. Light to medium body with quite a bit of carbonation. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin with a very subtle finish. Not too complex, but not too flat either. Driftwood6 (214), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2007 This is a very typical German marzen. Nothing too crazy here-- just that nice balance of malt and hops. I’ve kind of lost my interest in this st yle, but I don’t remember many others that were significantly better than the Spaten. benfergy (46), Valley City, North Dakota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2007 Bold amber appearance, a little head. The aroma is fairly mellow, kinda weak. The flavor is definitely that of a lager, but it’s also reminiscent of a brown ale. Either way, it is refreshing and crisp. The palate is smooth indeed. In general, it’s a good mild beer. bhensonb (4342), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2007 Slightly roasted malt flavor. Deep coppery color. No real head. Sweet malt flavor. Then enough hop comes up to balance the malt; almost anyway. Medium bodied, but tends to thin. Carbonation is light to medium. The hop finally gets a chance in the finish, when things finallly seem to balance. Decent drink. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2007 Rated 9/11/06: Typical average German Lager with a decent touch of sweet malts and some balancing hops. Skunky-sweet aroma, rather tame. Typical bronze color, didn’t get a very large head but what came about did stick around. Filling on the palate and crisp. Flavor is tame and different from most other Oktoberfests. Decent example but not grand by any means.
