Pours a clear amber with a good scent of hops, i would buy again in the late weeks of September to feel as if I was in Germany rmussman (906), California, USA

Pours smooth with a nice head if you want it. Mouthfeel is great as the beer is very pure and the flavor is accented by mild hops and spices marchese299 (1), USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 22, 2007 On Tap at Brau Haus a local German bar in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Amber in color, a great tasting beer, one of my favorites! Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2007 On tap. Poured a clear copper with a decent white head. Slightly foamy. No real lacing to speak of. The aroma was a mix of sweet malt, some hops and a bit of brown sugar/caramel. If there is any spice, it’s not much. The flavor was a less hoppy version of the Spaten Premium. They ramped up the sweetness and backed off the hops. Not in the same class with the Optimator and I think given the chance I’d just as soon drink the Premium. OldBoss (27), Tuttle, Oklahoma, USA

The beer lines had obviously not been cleaned in a while, because there was a sourness and sharp bite to this beer. Tapwerks needs to clean up their act - - - AND their beer lines. They’ve ruined what is a very nice beer.
