Sep 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear amber/brown color with a miniscule off white head. Nose is light nutty roast and sweet malts and a hint of dirt. Palate is full and clean. Flavor is nutty, dirty, malty but clean and crisp and kinda nice.

Sep 24, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a small beige head. The aroma was lightly sweet, tangy and malty with a touch of pear. The flavor was light caramel, tangy and malty with notes of ripe cherries and pears. The finish was medium length fruity caramel. Rather enjoyable.

Sep 21, 2009 I’ve had this countless times and not rated it, so it’s high time I rated it! Colour... orange-amber. Nose... sweet malt and an even balance of hops. Palate... plenty of C02, lightly chewy, nicely balanced between the roasty malt and hops, though not especially complex. I Like it on tap much better than the bottle.

Sep 20, 2009 Color: Dark reddish gold, clear, thin white head that lasts. Aroma: lager with hints of malt. Flavor: moderate malt sweetness, distinct lager. Light bodies, not hop bitterness. Not a big fan of this style, but I am trying them to better understand.

Sep 20, 2009 12oz bottle. Poured a dark golden color with a two finger soapy head. Smelled moslty of sweet malt with a hint of hops. Taste was mainly malt and grain with a hint of caramel, that finished with slight dry bitter hops. Would have expected more for a German Oktoberfest.
