Commercial Description:
Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Green bottle. Pale brownish orange color, thin foamy head. The bottle in the picture is brown, but this is not. Bummer. Came from a 12 pack(cardboard box) so presumably not much light got in. Flavor is slightly sweet, with notes of mild roast and bread. Medium bodied with the trademark slightly metallic finish of the German hops. Doesn’t seem skunked, luckily. Pretty passable Oktoberfest, one of my favorite versions from Germany.

This might’ve been a nice beer, hard to say. The green bottle kind of ruined things. Aroma was all skunk, flavor was mostly skunk with a bit of malt and yeast peaking through. Too bad.

Death by green bottle. Pours a pale copper with a thin white head. Aroma was skunk through and though with a hint of malt and bread. Flavor was also skunked. I’d like to try this one again in a brown bottle.

It smells skunky. Taste is malt and the finish is thin. a bit of a let down.

Bottle. Pours a brownish amber color with a nice off-white head. Faint aromas of malts and bread on the nose. Has all the hallmarks of a marzen. Nice roasted malt flavor with a flash of bitterness. Medium bodied. Not bad.

dark amber with fizzy bitter taste. but not so bitter to give you that ’bitter beer face’ overall a pretty good beer that I would drink again.
