Bottle. Pours a translucent amber, copper color with very small, receding head that leaves lacing around the glass. The aroma smells of roasted malts, caramel, honey, nuts and alcohol (at 5.9% it is slightly more prominent in the nose). The beers flavor follows that of it’s aroma: the toasted malts and caramel really shine up front, followed by the sweet, honey flavor, some hops and just a tinge of alcohol. The mouthfeel of the beer is rather watery, but it helps to make the beer refreshing and drinkable. The alcohol and hops are actually masked quite well in this brew which leaves a sweet, roasted aftertaste in the mouth. A good example of a german oktoberfest.

Dec 4, 2009 12 oz. bottle poured into a lager glass. Pours a beautiful clear, light copper color with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly. Fair lacing on the glass. Nice malty aroma with subtle hops. Flavor is sweet malt. Balanced hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Short, slightly dry finish.

Nov 22, 2009 Had it on tap. Pours a light amber color with a medium-sized white head. Tastes pretty malty, with a bit of hops coming through in the end. Very smooth and drinkable - a delight really.

Nov 20, 2009 Pours a amber orange color with a minimal white head. Aroma is of roassted malt, baked bread, carmel, and a little hops. flavor is malty with flavors of roasted malt, carmel, baked bread, and a little hops. has a medium mouthfeel with a soft finnish. overall, a good octoberfest.

Nov 14, 2009 bottle: I was looking forward to this beer. Has a full malt profile, sweet and simple. Caramel malts and a little kick of hops. The only detractor was vegetal notes that I found unpleasent. Overall, a decent beer but I’ve had better.

Nov 7, 2009 Tap. Poured a light clear copper with a thin head. Malty nose. More flavor than I expected from this. Used to drink this as a kid and always enjoyed. And I enjoyed it tonight. Very drinkable with a hint of hops and a solid malt base finishes a bit bitter.

Nov 2, 2009 Roasted malts with notes of caramel in the aroma. Flavor is light caramel and roasted malts some ginger and maple. pretty weak Marzen. I have had better.
