Pours a very clear golden pale yellow. Small, fizzy white head that does stays for a little while, and finishes as a thin film. Heavy malty aroma with a slight citric bitterness. Nice, full mouthfeel - a surprise after the look and aroma. Flavour is mildly bread-like, with a definite hoppyness of a character, I cannot quite describe. Surprisingly nice. sisyphus12 (98), Belmont, Massachusetts, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Very rich malts, almost oxidized flavor, comes off very earthy and faintly musty. Smooth caramel flavor, very heavy on the palate. Hops are light, allowing the malts to carry through, the flavor stays sweet from start to finish. Felt like it lacked a bit of carbonation so it might be hard to have a few of these due to how heavy it sits. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile

Flavor is fruity, too, smooth, flowery, robust--provided by malts--with a bitter end. yngwie (4974), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle. Quite pale golden, clear beer, with a nice carbonation and a big white head. Quite grainy aroma, but it balances neatly with a fruity hoppiness. The flavor is even more fruitier, but with the grain and pale malts from the aroma. Quite dryish mouthfeel, medium body. Quite bitter, yet fruity, finish for a beer as pale as this. A nice and easy-to-drink oktoberfestbier. And so much more interesting than all the pale lagers flooding the market.
