Commercial Description:
This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

I happen to like Spaten’s beer. Except for their lager, which is tasteless and watery, I think that their products are of high quality. They are also readily available. To me, this is a very good Oktoberfest. A very solid beer.

Great brew, I love SPATEN. Always has a great blend and taste. Not as good as OPTIMATOR, but a great beer to drink all night.

Grainy bready and a let down. Page 437 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 246 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.

Purchased a 24 pack at Costco over the weekend to celebrate Oktoberfest. A great beer. Pours smooth with a nice head if you want it. Mouthfeel is great as the beer is very pure and the flavor is accented by mild hops and spices.

Really pale looking beer, has a thin head after pouring. Tastes nice and smooth without excessive carbonation. Little sweeter than I would have hoped, not bad though.

Bottle. Golden. Big white head. Malty and fruity aroma. Flavour is malty and hoppy, slightly bitter. A good tasting Oktoberfestbier.
