Commercial Description:
This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

Golden, large and white head. Fresh and malty aroma. Hoppy flavour with tones of lightly roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and toffee. A bit sourish.

Very pale golden with a white head, poor retention. Very sweet malty aroma, maybe some very light honey and green spicy hops. Flavour is quite weak, with alcohol and sweet caramel malt and nut liqueur. The finish is also quite alcoholic, very average.

Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB Aug 07). Pale golden. Reasonably full malts and pleasantly clean grassy hop finish. Not too much going on but balanced and quite drinkable.

I’m kinda wondering what year this was.... no clue of date. Not impressive sourish malt aroma Nice head cream colored lasted a short while.. Nice lacing. Sorta lemony sour malt taste, with bad sour-bitter aftertaste. I think this is worth once a year, but not much more.

Yellow see through (pilsner look) with little white head. Aroma of pilsner malts and easy hops. Easy fruityness & easy spice. Little Watery texture. Short slight hoppy finish. Average!

No head, fizzy golden-amber, sour spicy sting. Skunk started here. This one needs to be consumed fresh.
