Noisy pour revealing a chalk, white head slowly fading over a clear, late straw coloured body. Pale malty to the nose. Grainy malts in flavour mingled by sweet, oily hops and mild spices. Some lemony bitterness to the finish. Soft carbonated and medium bodied. Very relaxing and just what I needed at the time (Linköping, 02.09.2009). dnoaksson (179), , Sweden
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Deep golden color. Aroma has a earthy malt scent. Taste is basically of skunked malts. Has a bitter finish. Not really a special Oktoberfest beer here. Blah. Travlr (787), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Aroma of pepper and yeast. Decent malty character throughout makes it slightly sweet. Hops come in at the finish. Decent enough. Tripplebrew (502), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

A big, mostly diminishing near-white head upon a brilliant, pale gold colored body. Weak, soft, sweeitish malt aroma. Some hayish hops, and scent of wet cardboard. Quite thin malt body, light to medium sweet, balanced by some stale, unfresh, grassy hops. Light astringent mouthfeel. Oily texture. Faint malty, sharp bitterish ending. A mediocre Festbier. esox (273), Oulu, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2009 50 cl bottle. Very pale golden colour. Small but dense head white head. The aroma is clean and sweetish malty with some grains in it. Some caramel and light fruitiness too. Balancing hoppiness has fresh grassy and slightly herbal and spicy notes. The flavor is smooth and juicy maltiness is quite enjoyable. it dries up a bit towards the finish and the alcohol is pretty much absent. Low carbonation, medium body. Good drinkabliy. One of the better märzen. CheersMate1 (851), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2009 12 oz. bottle. My brother picked me up a few of these bottles. Transparent caramel/brown. Nice fluffy head that slowly fades away. The is a lighter caramel/brown color. Not a bad looking marzen lager. Caramel malt sweetness on the nose. Fairly pungent beer. Subtle sharp hop aroma as well. Not a bad aroma. Fairly smooth malt sweetness. Not as alcoholic, or as smooth as some of the other marzen lagers I have had lately, but a fairly decent representation. I can say that I appreciate the smoothness, and I also appreciate the fact that the beer is not overly rich. Nice marzen beer.
