Commercial Description:
This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

This poured a darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was malty and sweet. Flavor was lightly sweet, small fruit esters and a slight hop bitterness.

Bottled:
Pale golden with a big, fluffy head. Honey aroma. Sweet, honey-ish malt flavour. Somewhat alcohol bitter finish.

I was hoping for a lot more here, but this was a pretty terrible beer IMO. Minimal aroma, minimal flavor, too much alcohol presence... just bad

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The color is a deep gold with a foamy white head. Some nice lacing. The smell is a bit caramel, some wheat and malt flavors and a bit sugary. The taste is of caramel and cinammon. There is also so bitter fruit flavors as well. One of the better Oktoberfest beers, is very flavorful and has a nice feel to it. Drinkability is pretty smooth and goes down easy.

Bottle. The beer smells light malty, some grass and some cookies. The head is small, white and creamy with a short duration, the body is pale yellow. The taste is malty and light bitter, later it gets light metallic. The body is rather light, dry and with a lively carbonation.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong and spicy, also good use of hops. Well balanced, harmonic finish. Very drinkable. Good festbier!
