Commercial Description:
This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

Surprisingly sour aroma but some grassy hops also. Full and malty flavour. Sweetish for my taste but it has the body to carry it. Mild, almoust vague hops in the finish but the aftertaste lingers and they even feel stronger after that mouthful is gone down. Interesting. I’d give this a second chance.

The flavour is sweet, almost cloying. The bitterness is OK throughout the whole experience, but IMO it’s cloying, round sweetness is intrusive, and it lacks complexity.

Keg (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Oktoberfest 2004) No! I want some flavour in my beer please. How do they do that - this is beer with all traces of beer removed.

Stein at Weissgerber’s Gasthaus just outside Milwaukee. Dark amber with a small head that seems to continue through the 22 ounces. The aroma is mostly malt based. The flavor is malty, sweet, and a touch sour. The palate suited well, somewhat rich and cleansing. Overall, this was good with Thanksgiving meal.

I may be wrong but I think the keg might be stale but all I tasted was sour with a hint of caramel.

Copper, white head leaves nice lace. Dry malty aroma. Flavor has plenty of crispiness in terms of hops, well balanced oktoberfest brew. Carbonated feel, finish asks for more.

Pours a nice copper color with a cream colored head. Has a sweet malt aroma to it. Nicley balanced malt flavor with notes of hop at the end.Not bad.
