It is copper-amber with a huge off-white head that lasts a long time and leaves good lace. The aroma is caramelly malty grain, cooked rice, dry grass, hints of pine and herb. The taste is caramlyl malty grain, strong and full but still light and tingly in feel, with an active palate, clear herbal and nutty bitterness, more bitter than usual for the style and just enough to make it more interesting. This is simply wonderful KaiserKolsch (38), USA

The color is a deep gold with a foamy white head. Some nice lacing.
The smell is a bit caramel, some wheat and malt flavors and a bit sugary.
The taste is of caramel and cinammon. There is also so bitter fruit flavors as well.
One of the better Oktoberfest beers, is very flavorful and has a nice feel to it. Drinkability is pretty smooth and goes down easy.

The aroma is very pleasent, and carries over into the test. Very rich, quite malty with a dry finish for such a perfumed beer. Better on tap than out of the bottle, as is any beer, but this one is worth trying if you ike the style. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA

Lighter golden color and less intense carbonation than other breweries’ Helles offerings that I had at Oktoberfest. Nonetheless, still a wonderful beer!! Bit lighter body and lighter malt body than I had expected – the same would be true of the hop complexity that I had expected. SledgeJr (2962), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

I mean, these germans were singing American Mo-town tunes all night! Not what I expected in terms of entertainment, but the beer was outstanding! Yellow with a white head, monster head in a liter maas. Drunken girls mowing down massive amounts of the stuff. 3 Canadians and 4 Bavarians were at my table. By the end of the evening, we were all best friends. This might be the best beer to drink massive amounts of at Die Wiesen. Certainly the best tent tonightr for energy and fun. Thanks Bill for the free tix!!! Parrothead (185), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA

Almost too cold to detect any aroma, but the maltiness still came through. A beautiful gold/copper with a nice firm white head that stood up to the cold glass. Smooth as silk going down, a great blend of sweet malt with enough hop bite to cut it. The best example of an Oktoberfest I’ve ever had.
