Apr 28, 2009 Deep brown color, sudsy head, lacing, smells like honey covered oats, honey wheat bread, smells very good. The flavor is full on malts, possibly fruity raisins, bready. Overall this is a decent dopple but it smells a lot better than it tastes but who can complain for $2.49?

Apr 27, 2009 Sweet caramel, malty aroma with a whiff of coffee. Clear rust appearance. Medium sweetness and bitterness with a hint of salt. Medium body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation. Long, bitter nutty finish. Simple and tasty.

Apr 27, 2009 Bottle at hideaway bar. Incredibly sweet, bold caramel malty taste. Also tastes pretty strong, even though it’s not. Pretty good for something that’s really easy to find.

Apr 26, 2009 Bottle pours a clear reddish-brown with a large, quickly-thinning, fizzy head. Very little aroma, sweet taste with a long aftertaste of bittersweet caramel.
Not particularly interesting, but not bad for a simple pure beer.

Apr 24, 2009 Dark brown pour with a foamy, cocoa colored head.Light aroma of sweet malts. Flavor is sweet, yet with some coffee and light bitterness. Kind of meh, typically german. I dunno, there are lots of other doppels I’d want before this one.

Apr 24, 2009 Pours a very deep brown with a reddish tint to it. A large foamy beige head lasted for quite some time.Smells of malts and coffee but not a lot else. Coffee and roasted malts really stand out on the tongue. Taste is much better than the nose would lead you to believe. Gets better as it warms.

Apr 21, 2009 Bottle. Poured an amber color with a decent two finger white head. Aroma was caramel, sweet malts, and other fruits. Flavor was malts, sweetness, yeast, and fruits. Medium body. Good beer.

Apr 18, 2009 16.9oz bottle from BevMo! One of my favorite Doppelbocks of all time. I think the first time I tried it was at the Yard House. Nice dried and candied fruit aromas, nice fruity flavor with a slightly sweet finish.
