| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thick off white head. Aroma is slightly roasted, very mild hop presence. Flavor is a little malty sweet, roasted and the hop presence is more pronounced. Not bad. keepersj12 (815), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2008 The aroma is great coming at you with sweet ripe fruits. Flavor is sweet malt with a touch of hop. Not as sweet as some others. Very nice. donteatpoop (125), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 29, 2008 Poured a dark amber color, almost a chocolate brown; a thin tan head resting on top.
Smelled of dark roaster caramel malts.
Tasted much like the scnet, dark roasted malts and caramels. Hints of chocolate and coffee were also present.
Goes down smooth with a nice mellow level of carbonation. Leaves the palate a little dry, though.
Definately a solid session beer, I could drink this all night.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2008 [Tap] Poured a clearish deep ruby with a moderate off white head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy for a doppelbock, but there is plenty of malt to back it up. Lots of caramel, molasses, and dark fruits from the flavor. Flavor follows the aroma, with a nice hop bitterness on the finish. idbowman82 (62), Painesville, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2008 Dark pour, little head. Aroma is minimal, but its flavor is quite complex--figs, dates, bread, rye, fruit, and raisin.
Finish is clean and tart. MacAnUltaigh (45), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2008 Draught: Sour, grainy nose. Not much head or lace. Tastes like a fruity Shiner Bock. Other flavors include figs, caramel, maple syrup and dark bread. Long, tangy finish with a little bitterness. Hoppier than the Celebrator or Salvator. What I found very interesting is the spicy cinnamon flavor that came out after taking a bite of a delicious sandwich that had horseradish on it. Decent.
