Quite possibly the best beer I’ve had! Pours a dark hue; taste is very strong and flavorful. After taste sticks with you for a good amount of time. Would definately drink this again (and again).

Dark, almost ruby black. Aroma and taste are very bready... especially manifesting as a worty or unfermented flavor. $6/16oz

Lately, this has beer a favourite. It tastes so German to me. I love it. Sadly, we cannot get it in Alabama. But it is in Florida and it is delicious. It is somewhat flawed. It is a bit overpoweringly alcoholic, yet the complexity of the palate and the flavour of caramel is to me a beautiful thing. I love it. I would buy it more regularly if we could get it in AL.

Bottle- Sampled @ Siebel during the German style tasting- Clear dark brown cola color, off white foam, small bubbles. Nose is raisin, some brown sugar. Very sweet, unbalanced. Would be hard to enjoy a whole pint.

Poured into a dimpled mug in Munchen. Clear amber, brown colour with a medium head and good lacing. Nice roasted malt flavour but maybe a touch too sweet. Big flavour of molasses and sorghum. Still enjoyable though.

Had this on tap in the microbrewery at the Mt Angel Oktoberfest and i must say that it lifted my spirits whilst watching a polka band with an alphornist.
