Aroma: Malt/yeast with chocolate, freshness hits me as well. Surly darkness with minimal light filtering through. Looks: Cherry darkness in direct light. Taste: The hops still has a presence with all the malt and roasted goodness going on.

Bottle. Pours deep reddish brown. Aroma is is thick, syrupy caramel malt. Flavor is buttery, dark spirits, caramel and toffee, somewhat sweet. Sticky finish.

Pours a dark amber color with a light tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, and molasses. Flavor starts off sweet with the dark fruits, caramel, and molasses then finishes with the toasted malts. Nice lingereing flavor as well on this one. Very delicious, I don’t know why I didn’t rate this sooner.

Nice... Deep amber. Aroma of Sweet malts. Sweet taste of caramel and molasses. Smooth finish despite the ABV.

A really good beer. Nice balance with sweetness and smoothness. 7.2% but really well hidden. Great!

The standard for Doppelbocks, in my opinion. Dark brown color, malty aroma, and a hint of fruit (apple?) in the flavor.
