Commercial Description:
Bottom fermented pilsner style beer. Very elegant, pale in color, dry and hoppy. Its crisp clean taste is due to the extra fine Bavarian hops.

On tap at the Huber Haus. Pours a beautiful golden yellow with a substantially present thick white head. Solid aroma of Saaz hops? Nice grainy malt aroma as well. Absolutely delicious pilsner body with the right amount of malty bitterness with a hugely easy drinkability. Great pilsner vom fass. Bill the owner, claims that InBev has stopped importing Spaten Pils into the US, so if you want this beer, you’d better find it fast. The Huber Haus has the last 12 kegs that it will ever see as of 1/11/8.

16oz bottle from Roth’s. Pours a clear golden with a huge white head. Nose is some nice pleasant floral notes with a touch of earthiness. Taste starts sweet then a bit of graininess, and a fine dose of earthy hoppiness in the finish. Finish is dry. Body is full for a Pilsner. Carbonation high. I really like the well-rounded body and mouthfeel on this beer. Quite nice and easy to drink, on a par with Pilsner Urquell.

Pours a transparent blonde with a thick but quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is light and primarily hops. The flavor matches the aroma, light hops but without excessive bitterness. Relatively unremarkable overall, but decent for a pilsener.

pours a crisp light yellow with a 11/2 finger fluffy white head. aroma is pilsener malt and German hops with some lemon. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. has a small dry hop aftertaste and is a little slick. also has a little bite on the tongue from the hops and carbonation. it has a little grassy hay aroma and flavor as it warms a bit. not my style but it is a nice clean flavorful pilsener.

purchased at red apple in bremerton, washington. pours light yellow with thin white head, average carbonation. smell is of faint, grain, yeast. taste clean, crisp, hops, grain, a little bitterness and dry on the back-end. compared to other pils this is well above average.

This pilsener has a pretty good hoppy "bite" to it with a more than average bitterness. There is a discernible but faint fruitiness to the excellent hops and the aftertaste is fairly bitter. It doesn’t have much of a head, but I don’t give a rat’s ass because that has nothing to do with the flavor. Overall it’s a very good beer and I would buy it again.

Head forms white and frothy, then quickly dissipates. It did leave a nice lacey effect around my glass. Subtle aroma, just a hint of yeasty-citrus and hop. Flavor is even more subtle. Nothing standing out except a little sweetbread. Finishes clean. Pretty insubstantial, not as impressed as I’d hoped.
