Commercial Description:
Bottom fermented pilsner style beer. Very elegant, pale in color, dry and hoppy. Its crisp clean taste is due to the extra fine Bavarian hops.

On Tap, after 2 pints of Pale Ale beers. Seamed like any other draught beer, very light, almost no aroma. Maybe on bottle it’s totally different

8/1/07 From the bottle. Aroma is sweet bready malt forward, followed by yeasty notes, some tartness and in the background some floral noble hop character. Appearance is a clear light gold with a low white head. Flavor is bready pils malt forward very well balaced by solid bittering hops with low flavor. Mouthfeel is light bodied, clean, with medium carb feel and a dry finish. Overall, a very well made, clean beer that has exceptional balance and is very easy drinking.

Bottle. Aroma of pale malt and noble hop. Brassy gold color with a frothy white head. Medium bodied. Creamy carbonation. It’s a well balanced pale malt sweetness with grassy, spicy hop. The finish is more than dry, and the final impact is bitter. It’s nearly astringently bitter. Crisp and clean it is. I’d say this one has been slightly underrated*, but I have not had so many of the competitors. Quelle dommage. *But look how my numbers turned out!

Tap at ausschank, Munich 0,4ltr: One thing i learned in Munich when they called a beer pilsener its leaning to the Pilsner Urquells, and its a great copy.

16.9 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Lightly, sweet, floral, grassy hoppiness in the nose with a small amount of DMS. Pretty crisp and enjoyable aroma, though. Transparent light yellow body with a smallish whire head, which has good staying power. A nice, fine bubbly lacing is also present. Well, this is a bit sweeter than I expected to start. Light maltiness with a bit of sugariness lingering in the background throughout. Some yeast esters are in the middle. A nice mild to moderate dry, lightly bitter noble hop finish. This is pretty enjoyable. On par with Pilsner Urquell...
