The palate is thin and stale (might be that farmergirl-like waitress having a hard time...) unclemattie (2438), Georgia, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 22, 2007 Probably the least tasty of the Spaten I have tried, pours a mid-golden color and reminded me of a stronger Budweiser for some reason. Nothing special, i would have it again if on sale or if handed out at a party rmussman (906), California, USA

Sampled at Oktoberfest in San Francisco, and after a few franzekaners and Spaten Oktoberfests i was a little out of it. It pours light brown with a decent head on it. Goes down smooth. bluevegie (2221), Perth, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Crisp hop nose, big beaded head on a pale yellow body. Pleasant hoppy taste, a little soapy and a touch sweet although I enjoyed this. Soonah (970), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Clear gold with a thick, foamy white head that lingered. Good lacing. The aroma was of yeasty, slightly sour hops. The flavor was sweet with a hop bite that hit early and lingered well into the aftertaste. Weird. Somewhat enjoyable although I think the Spaten Premium is a better choice.
