Flavours are sweet biscuit malts with apricot followed by a crisp hoppy finish. Has a good sparkle but is still smooth on the palate. A decent pilsner. Cornfield (4950), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Pale yellow with an extremely short-lived fizzy head, this has light sweet malt scents covered by a faint floral hopping. It’s spritzy in the throat, which I enjoy in a beer, but delivers only mild malt tastes. The hops return on the quick finish.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2005 This beer pour near white. White head that fades quickly. Aroma is apple with some notes of cinnamon*sp*. Crisp clean taste.... apple again... light hops. Pretty ok beer. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 25, 2005 Surprisingly, this beer is not that easy to find, unlike Spaten Optimator. It is a crisp, herbal pilsener that’s moderately dry and plenty hoppy. Grass and pepper are evident. If you like pils, this is respectable. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2005 Clear gold with a thin film of white head and sticky lace. Musky pilsener malts and grassy hops in the aroma. Some hints of pepper about. The same can be said for the flavor. It is a bit more musky, and there are hints of fruitiness with the grassy hops. The mouthfeel is kind of fuzzy or dusty. The body is pretty well defined and it finishes with that pilsener malt presence. Fair pils. It touches the palate like a sweet angel of flavor sent from Munchen. God bless you Spaten. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Nothing real noticeable here, which is normal for a mass market pilsner. Drinkable in mass quantities. KAggie97 (2469), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
