Commercial Description:
Bottom fermented pilsner style beer. Very elegant, pale in color, dry and hoppy. Its crisp clean taste is due to the extra fine Bavarian hops.

Grain and hop taste. Its pale yellow appearance was its least appealing feature. Far from being my favorite beer however it has it’s bright spots!

Pours crystal clear and light straw in color. Good example of the pils style. Very clean tasting with sazz hopping. Thanks Carsten for bringing the beer over.

Poured into a franziskaner weizen glass, this beer is light straw colored and clear with a nice 2 inch white head. Leaves some scattered lacing as it reduces to a cap of foam. Aroma is grainy up front and grassy in the back. Taste is of cereal grains and dough with an herbal hop tinge at the end. Pretty typical. Smooth and sparkly, very easy to drink.

Bottle, courtesy of jasonp. Thanks, Jason! Pours a clear, medium golden color; white head with patchy lacing. Light citrus and mineral bitterness in the aroma; some sugar and cereal. Medium mouthfeel: light citrus, sugar, cereal; average carbonation; a bit of stickiness coming through; kind of simple overall, but not in an intensely drinkable simple way. Medium finish: sugar and bread and minerals.

Provided by jasonp. Clear straw body with a small white head. Herbal, grassy nose with light cotton candy and dough. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with lots of grass, some lemon, dough and herbs. Medium/light body is a bit thin with moderate carbonation.

A very tasty beer! Very hard to find on tap anywhere, Very common in bottles. A very good example of a German Pilsener. Great color and head retention, and fabulous aroma!
