Tap at Andy’s. Clear light golden, white head. Malty aroma, dough, bread, etc. Smooth malty creamy flavor. Big German malt quality. Slight hops present. Very crisp, like a bock should be.

This is a golden pour with a weak white head. The nose is small but floral and pleasant enough. It is mildly pilsner-esque, with some of the hoppiness present; but it is the nice, butter-bread middle and the medium-lasting bitter in the end that make this an above average brew. The alcohol is prevalent.

Bottle. Initially, a nice frothy head – looked great but dissipated quickly. Had a floral, spicy nose with a creamy, bitter finish. Average body, with a strong alcoholic (not me, the beer) finish. Barely up to spec for this style, though an easy drink and pleasant enough.

On tap at Gustav’s restaurant. Pours a deep golden color with a tall white head. Very bready sweet malt aroma and taste. Grainy caramel malts witha light fruit taste fade to a well balanced bitterness in the finish. A very smooth great all around bock.

Caramel, malty, brown sugar, buttercream. Light fruity hops. Medium golden amber clear with thin white lacing head. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation. Starts sweet, with buttercream and some toffee. Low hops to start, but gains more fruity character toward finish, and light bittering. Mild alcohol flavor, and sweetness remains on tongue in the after. Some light astringency, too.
