Bottle, pours a nice amber color, small head that dissappated quickly. Malty sweet caramel aroma, and the taste was very nice....malty, mildly sweet flavor with some fruit and hop notes to it. The finish was somewhat malty with a slightly sweet tone and mild hop presence. A nice bock.

Bright golden colour with a white head. Grainy, oily, malt aroma. Taste was a little oily, sweet, herbal and alcohol.

This has a real depth when poured. Good solid amber and nice head. The sweet grassy aroma of hops comes through even though it is a little suppressed by the malt. Mouthfeel is great as is the sweetness imparted by the ample malt presence. A very good winter beer.

[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] An orange beer with a fine though disappeaering white head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is very hoppy and quite sweet, the end is dry hoppy. It is boring for the style though the body is powerful.

Amberish color with nice sized light tan head. Flavor was nicely sweet and malty. Very smooth for a bock.

Deep golden body. Shortly lasting head, white and fizzy. Sugary in both aroma and taste. Strong vanilla and biscuit aroma. The finish is slightly hoppy, but I wouldn’t call it a balanced brew. Medium to full body. Overall, this beer was a disappointment. Reminded me of a malt liquor without some alcohol. I think I’ll put the blame on this particular bottle and I’ll try to buy it again...

White thiny full lasting head. Deep golden color. Aroma is mderately malty with grainy and a few herbal and alcohol notes. Flavor is moderately malty with grainy tones, ending in a balanced, moderately hoppy finish. Light bodied.
