I love this beer- it so reminds me of the Paulaner Bock we used to get here; in fact, it probably is essentially the same thing. In Texas we have always missed having a nice pale bock, here in the center of Shiner "Bock" country.

Nice amber color, minimal head retention. Aroma is mostly malt fruit notes, apricot, citrus. Flavour is sweet, identifibly the little brother of the optimator. Refreshing on the palate, little to no residual.

Clear and golden with a thin head. Very malty aroma with some spicy hops. Sweet and malty in flavor with a fari amount of bitterness in the finish. Full bodied. A little oxidized (cardboard) with some metallic notes.

This is a golden pour with a weak white head. The nose is small but floral and pleasant enough. It is mildly pilsner-esque, with some of the hoppiness present; but it is the nice, butter-bread middle and the medium-lasting bitter in the end that make this an above average brew. The alcohol is prevalent.

[draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Pale yellow pour with a very thin white head. Ultra sweet and malty aroma. The taste is very sweet and malty as well, almost a little sour. There’s a slight metallic hint in the middle and a slightly bitter and semi-hoppy finish. Middle of the road bock. [[600th Rating]]

A clear, deep Golden color with a white head. Though slightly skunked there were still sweet candy apple and spicy cigar tobacco scents noticeable. A sweet malty front with a fruity middle, the alcohol peeks through about here. Finishes with more sweetness, a bit of a metallic tinge and some herbal hops. Nice feel and overall above average. I’d drink this again without hesitation but it could be dangerous at 6.5% and so easy going down!
