I love this beer- it so reminds me of the Paulaner Bock we used to get here; in fact, it probably is essentially the same thing. In Texas we have always missed having a nice pale bock, here in the center of Shiner "Bock" country.

Got this in a tulip shaped pint glass at Gustav's Restaurant, Clackamas, Oregon today. Nice darkish gold honey coloured beer with a small but appealing bubbly white head..and generous lacing. Very attractive aroma..very malty as expected but with honey tones too. Smooth and easy taste..sweet maltiness..slight tatse of alcohol and again honey like tones..some small hops appear at the end. Very smooth and nice feeling on the palate. A good drinkable pint that went well with my Bavarian Sausage platter.

Poured medium gold that looked quite enticing, with modest head that was a good contrasting white. Nose had clean malty aromas. On the palate the malt came through nicely with a focus on the malt sweetness but not overly sweet. Light hoppiness for balance, and washes down very clean and malty. Excellent beer.

Tap at Andy’s. Clear light golden, white head. Malty aroma, dough, bread, etc. Smooth malty creamy flavor. Big German malt quality. Slight hops present. Very crisp, like a bock should be.
