Pours clean amber with a small white head and plenty of lacing. Aroma is pine resinous floral. First taste impression is grapefruit hops. Resinous, piney, and just a hint of sweetness from the malts. Very crisp then dry on the tongue. Like a ruby red grapefruit at the finish. Really nice hoppy IPA. Cost $1.69 for the 12 ounce bottle.

A good, hearty, tasty, satisfying IPA from San Francisco city. I’m not a big fan of the style, but this one rubbed me the right way. It’s good, not great, but pleasing nevertheless. Extra citrus and hops present here. Clean finish, great balance. If you dig the IPA’s, this one should do you just right. Fun packaging too: Makes you feel like donning a zoot suit and trumpet (or tommy gun :l).

Woody, floral, with a huge lingering bittered malt finish. Tart citrus with a tad bit of pine and resin. Great cloudy body and a full IPA bouquet on the nose. Very well balanced and hearty.

bottle from Mgermani, thanks! hazy golden pour, not as amberish as i’m used to with the US IPA’s. BIg aroma of grapefruit, and citrus hops, with some sopay piney resin in there. Flavour is much of the same, not much malt though, kinda one sided IPA. But hey, i’m a hop whore, so this is perfect! i could drink this beer all day, would be a great session beer, but the 6.5% would kick you in the ass quick for a session, beer.

Deep golden pour with hints of red. Aroma of citrus dominate. Malty flavor with a good grapefruit like finishing bitter. Just a tad watery or thin on the finish. Very solid drinkable beer.

Poured from tap a gold color with a rather small white foam and a minimal haze. Aromas of pine and floral hops. The flavor has good IPA-like notes of pine resin, gratefruit, and a big floral hop bitterness. There is also a big dose of caramel malt sweetness. I thought this IPA was sweeter than most, maybe because I had it after a stout. Overall this was a good beer, just a little sweeter than I like in an IPA and with less pronounced flavor notes.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is caramel, graham cracker, citrus, and peat. The peat detected in the scent does not bode well for me, but I am going to give this a try anyway. Flavor is piney, bitter, woody, some citrus. On the drier, bitter side.

I actually liked this one a lot. Picked it up on my roadtrip for beer to Cincy, OH. A pretty in-your-face IPA. Lots of pine hops in this one, the citrus takes a backseat. Color is solid orange. Metallic notes in the aroma and in the flavor. A little bit like Founder’s Centennial or Barley Island Barfly. Nice and crisp, with a lot of good hops flavor and a bit of malt. Finishes pretty nice, with no real sticky aftertaste. A good find.
