| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Straight from bottle. Found on vacation in San Fran. Deliciously fruity hop flavor with nice long bitter finish. Not much malt -- just the way I like an IPA. This one could turn into a regular favorite if I could purchase it locally. asedzie (456), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Pours hazy golden with small off-white head. Piney and citrus fruit hops in the nose along with some sticky malt aroma. Flavor is assertive and bitter hops upfront, mostly piney flavors hints of toffee malt flavors come through as it warms. Lightly smokey, too. Resiny, oily mouthfeel. This is exactly how I like my IPAs. Acknud (786), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Very nice IPA. Received as a gift from Blindeyedbetty. Balanced sweet vs bitter. Thick stiff head. Citrus hops in taste with good clean finish! Nice on a hot day. Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2007 From the bottle. Aroma is grassy, earthy, citrusy hop flora. Light bready/sour malt is slightly noticeable in the background. Appearance is a clear light gold with a persistant, chunky white head. Flavor is hop forward, earthy, with sweet citrus, but very well balanced with a light sweet malt. Bittering is high and lingers into a resiny finish. Mouthfeel is medium/light bodied with a slightly watery feel and low warmth. Carb feel is medium. Overall, one of the best IPA’s I’ve had this year for how hoppy it is. Still fairly easy drinking and delightfuly complex. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2007 A light pale orange, clear, with a thin white head. Big juicy unripe mango hoppiness. Really big and resinous and in the face. A light malt sweetness, with just a slight touch of malt. This is just what an IPA should smell like. A subdued slightly creamy palate. Nice smal bubbles and a bit of viscosity give this some body. The malt is big and sweet, with a touch of caramel, and even some creaminess. The piney hops are still big with the mango, but there’s a bit of peppery hops in there. Saaz maybe? I think it’s interesting and I like it in an IPA. IT gives this something of it’s own character. There’s also a bit of toast and some subtle alcohol. I don’t think either should be in an IPA of this ABV. Still crisp refreshing with a lingering creamy bitterness. A darn good IPA. Perhaps even worth buying again. riversideAK (2758), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Aroma was of some sweet earthy malt with a small hoppy spice. Pours a murky goldish. Flavor is dominated by sweetness with a piney and peppery aftertaste. I dont know what these other raters are talking about because this is not a hoppy IPA by any means. It is super sweet and pretty full bodied. Definitley not how I prefer my IPA’s. Oh well. Crit (2407), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada
