| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Pours an orangish amber color with a white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, sweet malts, and some caramel. Flavor is the same with more hops then i was expecting. A pretty decent bitter finish. A delicious brew. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Pours a mildly hazy pale orange, with a thin white head that fades quickly to a spotty cap and ring. The lacing is actually a big thicker than I was expecting.
Smell; mostly citrus, with grapefruit and lemons. There’s an underlying malt presence with a little bit of bread dough and caramel. Overall though, nothing really stand s out all that much in the aroma.
Taste; grapefruit is the primary flavor, but some lemon dose come through just a bit. Some bready, and caramel malts are present. If possible, the flavor is even more subdued than the aroma was, and that’s not really such a good thing for an American IPA. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and the drinkability actually takes a hit for me due to the lack of flavors. I don’t think I would ever pick this one up again.

It poured up nice with a white head. Dry, could be more hoppy and left a distinct aftertaste. I won’t be rushing out to buy more. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Bottle. Small white fizzy head that mostly diminished, poor lacing, visible carbonation, hazy, and a golden hue. Hoppy, grapefruit, citrus nose. Flavor was dry, hoppy, grapefruit and some caramel. Hoppy mouthfeel. Medium body. Decent for the style and quaffable. Worthy of a try. Somthing citrussy. First taste gave a little soapy flavor--may have been the trip across the country, though, as I am in Virginia and this is a San Francisco beer. Nicely balanced, though I would have preferred a little more hop bitterness for an IPA. Very drinkable overall. drfabulous (1268), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Used to see this on a local shelf and think it was a silly beer. Then I received it as a gift and discovered it is a micro. It’s an ok IPA - medium hops and not much of an after taste. Not something I would rush to buy, but would drink as a basic IPA. cole45 (21), USA

It has a fantastic peachy/grapefruity aroma and a nice hop flavor. Consider yourself added to the rotation, Big Daddy.
