Nice lacing with medium to high fizz. Aroma is pretty weak for an IPA. I was expecting to smell a more hoppy aroma with bolder scents of citrus. You can smell some lemon and grapefruit with hints of sweetness. Flavor is similiar to the aroma, a bit stronger citrus punch. The finish is crisp and dry with a slight bitterness that lingers. Overall, not a bad IPA, but I like mine with a more bold hoppy aroma and flavor. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2006 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" - This one pours a dark amber hue with a tall, off-white head of foam and a distincitive, citrus-flowery aroma. Alright, I’ll admit it... I’m a hophead, and I love this beer. Some other rater noted the weak malt balance, and I say... you’re drinking a frinking IPA, not a dunkel! Get with the program, dude! milewide (622), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Yes, it’s very hoppy, and dry---but that means that you don’t taste the malt. This is the first time I’ve rated a company’s amber ale (Prohibition) above their IPA, because it has a better malt balance. Beer2000 (1852), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2006 12 oz bottle. Dark, golden orange body with nice white head. Plenty of hops in aroma, hay and citrus. Plenty of hops in flavor as well. Harmonic taste of medium sweet malt, citrus, a hint of caramel and a recognizable touch of lemon deep down somewhere. Aftertaste is pleasant of hops and even more lemon here. A pleasant and refreshable IPA with a stitch. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2006 This cloudy golden ale poured with a thin off-white head, eliciting a strong hoppy aroma. There is a nice malt flavor at the start, with a carbonated mouthfeel and a long bitter finish. This is not an exceptional beer, but is is well-crafted and easy to drink.
